THE GAMES

• Word Invaders: the word to find is at the bottom. Tap the invader carrying its translation. A wrong shot costs a life and lights up the right invader. If the formation reaches the red line you lose a life.
• Lingo Muncher: tap a square to walk there and munch it. Eat every word that fits the rule at the top; a wrong munch costs a life. Keep away from the ghost.
• Spell Blaster: tap the letter tiles in order to spell the word before the time bar runs out. A wrong letter costs two seconds. Nouns show their article so you learn the gender too.
• Pixel Pairs: flip two cards at a time and match each word to its meaning. Fewer moves and less time score more.
• Turbo Lanes: tap the left, middle or right of the road (or swipe) to change lanes. Be in the lane with the right answer when the gate arrives.
• Echo Blaster: listen, then pick what the word means. Tap REPLAY or SLOW to hear it again.
• Training Room: think of the answer, tap to flip the card, then be honest: GOT IT or AGAIN.

Tap II at the top right to pause any game. Quitting still keeps everything you learned.

GOALS AND SKILL LEVELS

Open Setup from the main menu to change your language, why you're learning, your skill level and your daily goal at any time. Each language keeps its own level, words and high scores. Your streak grows on every day you play.

HOW NEW WORDS UNLOCK

You start with the words for your skill level. A word gets stronger each time you get it right on a different day, and goes back to the start if you miss it. When most of your open words are solid, the next set unlocks. See which words you know in Words, and your progress by topic in Stats.

SPOKEN WORDS

Pixel Polyglot speaks with your device's built-in voices, which work offline. If Echo Blaster says there's no voice for your language, add one in Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Voices. Not every language has a voice on every device; you can still play Echo Blaster with written words. If you still hear nothing, turn up the volume.

STARTING OVER

Setup > Erase all progress deletes XP, streaks, high scores and word progress in every language and takes you back to the first screen.
